|Batjeep09||I have hella 500 blacks. They are bright for halogen bulbs. I also have the duallys. Compared I'd go duallys. Here is a head to head. The Hellas on bottom and duallys up top. As you can see from the second photo, the duallys are over powering the Hellas.|

|Wmpj08||I am looking to do the same with my ordered 2013 Rubicon Crush! There was one site that showed a video of the 500's and try looked ok but they were mounted on the bumper, I wanna windshield mount them and wanna also know if there is an actual benefit on 500 vs 1000...|

|Casotakar1229||I don't offer much advice besides I've decided the Hella BM 500s will best fit my jk (black) due to color and purpose I'll be using them for. I have seen a few other forum members say they've thoroughly enjoyed their Hella's. Other threads on here that have recently went up talking about these lights. Hope this helps, good luck with your choice.|

Hella Black Magic 500s vs Rallye 1000s
Hey Guys and Gals. Looking for some advice.
I am looking into starting my exterior mods with auxiliary lights and I really like the way the Black Magic lights look, but I have only seen them online. Having a Mango Tango 2011, I think the Black'd out look would fit nicely. Thinking of window mounting these to start.
1. Anyone have either of these or seen them in action? Are either of these worth the money?
2. What the heck is the real difference of these lights besides $100? The Hella site shows there is a size difference and a bulb type difference. I am guessing the Halogen H2 bulbs have higher lumens than the H3? Beam pattern?
I searched through the forums and of course PIAAs are mentioned along with Rigid Duallys and other types of lights. Nothing really out there for these lights in particular unless I'm looking in the wrong spots. Heard the 500s were trash but that was 1 opinion. Also heard you can put 100w bulbs in the 1000s (upgrade the wiring and use a relay of course).
Lastly, any pics out there?
