Full time clock in radio

The stock radio in my 2000 TJ Wrangler Sport was replaced by the PO with a quite unimpressive AIWA . It has a clock function but does not have a constant display when radio is both on and off. Additionally it is silver and sticks out like a sore thumb.

I am looking a various modest priced heads on the web. All have clock down at the bottom of the feature list, but with no details as to when or how it shows.

Does anyone else want to know the time more than listen to music ? Are there any heads available with full time clock.

I am thinking of putting in a rebuilt factory original radio - it really could not be any worse sounding than the AIWA.

Thanks,
