sprubi05 My wife had a mustang that did this and it ended up being one of the plug wires made contact with the manifold and melted a little bit. Guess it was grounding out. Replaced the plug wires and worked just fine.

the Kolector That could be a tough one. Could be a fuel pump or injectors. I had a camaro years ago that the catalytic converter got stopped up and restricted the flow so it wouldn't go past a certain speed and would die if I let off the gas. Hope someone else on here has already had to fix a similar issue so they can at least give you a place to start. Good luck!

Firetrucks and jeeps
I need help not sure what the issue is

Light I need some help here I've got a 98 TJ with the 4.0 and I'm havin some problems but not sure where to start first so I'm gonna try and describe it the best I can
When I start up the jeep it idles fine when I put it in drive and start down the road it gets like 100 yards and starts losing power and then just gets more and more gutless and then starts spitting and sputtering until it finally dies unless I let off the gas or put it in neutral then if I give it gas in neutral it almost sounds like it dropped cylinders and/or compression but if I put it in drive and let it idle it's fine until I give it has again so I'm completely lost here the fuel pump is brand new and the throttle body was cleaned out really well I haven't checked the spark plugs yet but I don't even know if Rhys even a factor I haven't had time to check the fuel filter either so it may be that or a buddy told me about the "coils"?? I'm soo lost at this point I don't even know where to begin and it didn't start until around 10:00 pm cmt on the 19th and I had gotten gas about 3 hours prior to this happening but I can't even make it to a gas station to see if t just had bad gas do please help me out thanks!
