BuckeyeX Thanks for the info! Do all of them include a sunrider? The used ones I am looking at are mostly unused and new in box OEM. A buddy just got a trek top for his so I will be comparing the 2.

MTH And the 2011 and 2012 tops have bigger clear panels in the windows, i.e., more visibility.

4fit's right though on the hardware. I'm sure some mixing/matching will work, but some definitely won't. So you need the whole top--from the cloth and frame all the way to the mounting hardware.

4fit Yes, any year top will fit. Just have to make sure you get all the hardware with the top. For example, the door surrounds from a 2008 will not work with a 2010 soft top.

In 2010, Jeep started using a cable system versus clips in prior years. From what I understand, this fixed quite a bit of the leaking issues that earlier models had. Of course, some leaks can still occur.

I'm in the process of soft top shopping myself, and I admit to having no first hand experience with them. Just passing along what little I do know.

Best year JK Unlimited soft top

The new rig needs a soft top. OEM ones are pretty easy to find on Craigslist but is there's specific year I should be looking for or try to avoid? From what I've read any jk top will fit my '12
