Alaska TJ Installed Bilstein 5100's all around yesterday. My shocks were wore out so I can definitely feel a big difference. No more bottoming out.

The front was easy. There is an Allen head wrench head on the new shock that you will use to hold the stem in place.

Rears gave me more problems. I jacked the body up as high as possible, got the bottoms started first them lined up the top and started the bolts.

3.5 hours for all 4shocks.

jkp You can go ahead and do the front. You just want to do both of the shocks on an axle at the same time.

Shock install question

So I ordered Bilstein 5100 series shocks for my '03 Rubicon. The front ones have arrived and the rear will be here next week. My question is whether or not it would be ok to go ahead and install the front shocks while waiting for the rear. Would it be safe to drive it that way? I have the factory shocks on there now. Also, does anyone else have these type of shocks and did you notice much of a difference. Ive heard good things About them. I'm upgrading to bigger tires soon so I'm doing the shocks. I just upgraded the brakes last week. Getting excited.
