Problem with Rampage side steps

Today I tried to install Rampage 8627 steps for my 2012 2dr. I got them here (ignore picture, it shows a 4dr) Amazon.com: Rampage 8627 Black Side Bar: Automotive

The brackets hung right, but the holes did not line up at all on the bars themselves.

Now, I went on Quadratec's website and their 8627s look quite different, look at the ends: Rampage Products 8627 - Rampage Products Endurance Side Bars in Powdercoated Black for 07-12 Jeep® Wrangler JK 2 Door - Quadratec

On the box from amazon it is clearly labeled 8627...but maybe I had the right brackets and the wrong steps? I am nervous to order again...anyone order from these from QT for their 2012 2dr??
