DirtyRob YOu could probably buy another whole rear in running condition fro lees than you will spend doing everything else, and it will take less time to change it

Nas.a7x Ya I'm talking about the rear. This will only be the second rear end I've done. I started to do the bushings today and had to cut almost all of the bolts and its a major pain I will have to finish that tomaro then I can start on the bearings (still nervous about doing it)

0III0forlife If it were me, i would definately replace all the bearings. the pinion bearing is most likely bad from a high angle on the driveshaft, so you could replace it and all might be fine, but if its bad from high miles, then all the other bearings have the same on them as well. As far as crushing the sleeve, have you ever heard of manual tools? like a breaker bar, air tools are nice if you have them, but my dad rebuilt any and all parts of jeeps back in the 1950's and he never used an air tool ever. Try it, you might like it if you slip and smash your knuckles a few times...lol. JK. But, it is possible to do without air tools. Oh and by the way, the D35 is the rear axle, the front is a D30 if they are stock.

Ok so I was going to replace my seals and front pinion bearing and axle seals and bearings but when I took my drive shaft out I could move my pinion up and down just a little should I replace all my bearings or jus the outer pinion bearing I don't want to have to do it twice. I do have access to guages to reset the back lash but not a good enough impact gun or compressor to crush the crush sleave
