Xpress Step 1:

Step 2:

The temperature sensor on 2.5L engines is on the drivers side of the engine block at the back of the head, it has a green wire coming off of it.

Your fan shroud is absolutely going to effect engine operation temperature. If the fan were butted up against the radiator it wouldn't be an issue, but because the fan is so far back into the engine back, it relies on that fan shroud to funnel the air through the radiator. Without it you will very likely overheat on the trail. You can pick one up at a Jeep junkyard for next to nothing, or if you have all the pieces you can try to repair it by drilling holes and using some electrical wire.

first off i need help on where the gauge sensor located and will this fix my problem or what if it dont what will cause it to quit reading i wanna go muddin on sat but i wanna no if my motor is heating up also my fan protecter broke is that a problem on the engine side of things?
