This past weekend I blew both low beams on my Phillips X-tremes. I was wiring up my winch and started the Jeep to move it. I had one of the nuts on the positive side of the battery loose, and the subsequent lower power killed the bulbs. (oops!)
I replaced them with Sylvania Ultras. The X-tremes are brighter than the Ultras, and the color temp is less blue with the Phillips.

|steed77||yep notice that also. I got the Hella 80/100W units with mine. So far, I'm happy without going after the Philips X-treme power bulbs....yet|

Hella E-Code Rallylights Kit question
I was looking for a previous headlight thread to add my question to but could not find it in my searches for whatever reason.
I am getting ready to get the Hella upgrade kit from Rallylights. I was planning on getting the Philips X-treme power lamp upgrade but it seems the better deal is to purchase the base kit and lamp as is and buy the Philips lamps from Amazon later. The upgrade to the Philips lamp from Rallylights is more expensive and removes the base package lamp. Buying the Philips lamps elsewhere allows me to have the base package lamp and the Philips bulbs at a cheaper price it seems. I may even opt to run the base lamps till one burns out or keep them as backups. Am I missing something here or does this appear correct?
Thanks in advance.
