I buy most of my stuff from David at Northridge4x4.com
I buy stuff from Quadratec when I cant find it somewhere cheaper and 4wd only when I absulutly have to because I HATE their slow annoying website.

I buy allmost all my parts and what not from a local customs and offroad shop. Sure I can get a beter deal if I look around but you cant beat having someone friendly to shoot the shit with. Its also nice to let them handle returns when something comes in wrong.
And besides do you think 4wheel parts or anyother of those places would help you out if you called them becouse a part they sold you broke and you are stranded. Or if you just got in over your head with your jeep and needed help out of a tight spot.

|Seabisquit||95 yj so I look around for the best price. However I'm done with 4WD and Smittybuilt. Bought toneau cover, they sell them for hard or soft top. Don't tell you that you need the hardtop model if you remove your soft top frame. Smittybuilt customer service rep laughed. No help from either company = no more of my money.|

|lee indy||aww. ill bug quadratec if i can get the match and free shipping but im a firm believer in keeping the little guy in buisness if its close to the same price. our sales tax is 7 percent too. if i can dodge that i will.|
|04-15-2012 09:25 PM|
|Ted_D||I screwed up and left 2 letters off. what a difference it makes. They would not match it. So why ask anyone really to match it? Just buy where you get the best deal.|
|04-15-2012 09:18 PM|
why not. price match and free shipping.
that said i went to summit yesterday. other than a daystar tj panel there was f all for a jeep on the show room floor. i was highly disapointed. fun trip tho. found out i get 24 mpg on the highway at 75. no lift or tires in my future.

I use eBay quite a bit, as well as Summit, Q-Tec, and 4wd.com
Usually, whoever is giving free shipping will get the nod.
I've even found some pretty good deals on Amazon, believe it or not...

I've gotten a few things from autoshepherd.com and it came quickly and if you order over a certain $ amount the shipping is free. Plus if you use the code word - Adam (for the Adam Carolla podcast) - you get an additional 10% off. It doesn't always have everything you are looking for but I have found it useful for several different jeep items. The shipping was free, quick, and with the additional discount - not a bad deal.
I also use q-tec like most everyone and amazon.

|DriveOffroad||driveoffroad.com, i work there and i have access to tons of product as well as scratch and dent items. (sorry for shameless plug)|
|04-10-2012 07:25 AM|
Q-tec has an excellent selection, although they hit me with numerous "backorders"
LoD because their components are Hi-quality and made in AMERICA (damn right I am willing to pay a little more for MADE IN AMERICA)
sPOD, one grest product (easy install and works as promised)
HotHeads headliners: working great so far (got the 3M option)

|rusty92yj||Honestly ebay is a great place to get parts really cheap if you plan on putting them on yourself. I buy everything from ebay new and used|

Has anyone tried a store called Four Wheel Parts Wholesale before?
We had one in Texas I preferred but have used the one here in Orlando; best prices I've found local so far.

I used the big Q for most of the mods on LIL RED.....than the LAST time, they failed to ship in what I felt was a timely manner. The item ordered was to be a gift, and arrived 3 days AFTER the date! I ordered it the SUN before the Sat I needed it.
I also have moved to a job where I see what it costs to actually ship something FED EX or UPS and that kinda left a bad feeling on all the parts I had purchased.
I have since found out about BASELINE 4x4. They are a few miles North of me and they speak Jeep!! Members of local Jeep club as well. Prices better than the Big Q for mats for the JK and got new rear bumper in for the TJ in just a couple days.
Other than that, a place called Pro Trux here local. I am done with internet right now...as long as these 2 come through.
I will shop, look at new things on the web, and buy local.

Your lucky to have an outlet store close by. 4WD.coms online business SUCKS!!!
Got hung up on again today while waiting on hold for a tracking number.

most of our parts are coming from Poly Performance or AtoZ fab. few odds and ends from Q-tec.
My dad and I are just past the point of mail order parts from Q-tech and 4wd and are into a little more custom builder parts at this point. We deal with Zach at AtoZ fab and he can get us almost anything we need threw his network of suppliers. Poly gets some stuff that Zach say is just easier for them to deal with or we can get a little better price point on then he can. The rest of the big purches are right from he vendor. All 3 sets of metal cloak fenders came right from them and the Poison Spyder trail corners were direct ordered, then delivered to Zach at KoH who got them to us.

|JDsDream||I live 5 miles from a 4WP store so they get most of my business. I will use quadratec for some items. If both have what I'm looking for then it's price + shipping from Qtec vs price w/free shipping from 4WP. Cheapest wins my business.|

Who do you buy Jeep parts from and why?
Just curious who you guys are using.
I buy a lot of parts for my JK and do my own installations at home.
I'd say my all time best experiences and most expensive parts have been from Northridge 4x4. The reputation thay have here in WA state is outstanding. Got my lift and lockers through them.
My current least favorite is 4WD.com ,ordered a stainless cat back system from them weeks ago and can't even get a tracking number. Been hung up on twice, emailed 4 times and they just ignore me. Wouldn't care as much if they hadn't promised me 3 day shipping. Think they changed ownership recently. Seems corporate and dishonest these days. Charged me sales tax out of state.
Middle of the road is Quadratec, gotten some good deals here and there. Tube doors, rock sliders, CB and what not. Returns can be difficult and parts are not alwyas in stock as shown in the shopping cart but they seem willing to help if you have questions.
Harbor Freight, awsome! love thier cheap socket sets and massive selection of stuff I don't really need but buy anyway because it's only $2.
JC Whitney falls into the same category for me, rarley buy stuff thats more than $10 there but fun to criuse thier catalogs and spend a few bucks.
Summit racing, fairly new to me but I'm warming up to them. Customer service is responsive and staff is well informed. Good brand names and staff.
Ebay and Craigslist, used or Chinese cheap stuff. No warranty, buyer beware.
Gotten some good deals, bought some terrible crap too.
