busemans the holley 350 is a two barrel, right? the mc2100/2150 is almost hte same carb, if that 350 is the one i am thinking of. the main difference is that the top comes off the mc versus the bowl coming off which allows you to adjust everything with the jeep running on the mc.

you can also get a holley economiser carb for about 20 bucks on ebay and the rebuild kit is about 13 bucks. then get the 18 dollar adapter from your autoparts place and be on the road.

i have a mc2100 on mine right now. i had a holley economiser but i mixture screw snapped off and i haven;t been able to remove it so i had to swap it. i had a crappy weber 34 also, no good comments on that. i am waiting for delivery of my holley four barrel though. its a 450cfm from a ford 289/302 and will sit perfectly on my offenhauser intake. i am going with this four barrel because the secondaries are vacuum controlled and the primaries are smaller then on the mc2100 so it should get good gas mileage under normal driving and then still have power when i need it. you could also get a holley 390 four barrel and have the same benefits.

Beachcruiser Yep, hard to beat a Holley for WOT power production. Not sure if that particular model has the 'dogleg' annular discharge venturis that vaporize the fuel better.

But that particular design was used very early on by MC in these carbs....basically designing a foolproof, dependable mileage carb for medium sized I6s that still made good power when requested.

Don't get me wrong, I love Holleys for making power. I ran a 700DP on a Boss 351 for years. Great carb for tuning. But they do have more parts & seals that can fail or leak.

For a Jeep carb that's bone simple & gets great mileage right from the get go, it's difficult to beat an MC, imho.

The Holley 350 is a fine Carb. it is use in a lot of race cars [4cyl.] it is very tunable.

Beachcruiser Holleys are decent carbs & have lots of tuning parts available for when they need tweaking....but if you're going for dependable/mileage, it's pretty hard to beat the MC2100 series. I also like that I can change jets/float level, etc w/out spilling any gas.

You'll have 350 plus into that Holley by the time you get an adapter & air cleaner....unless you can find a used one to rebuild.

I did my MC2100 for less than 90 bucks total......& it rocks.

Info on Holley 350cfm carb???

Need to know what people think of the holley 350 cfm for a 4.2 I-6? I'm looking to get the motorcraft 2100/ 2150 but my mechanic thinks I should get this holley. I'm driving more on the road than out and about in the woods and need something dependable and a lot better on gas than the carter or weber.... Dont even mention weber im soooooo done with them
