LOL no problem.

Since 1/2 doors are so popular, I don't know why they are so rare on JKs.

Check out what I made to store my doors and windows

I have a JK Unlimited with half doors and soft top and I wanted to make something to store my doors, windows and misc. soft top parts when I am doorless. I didn't want to spend allot of money so this is what I came up with.

My project was pretty cheap to do (~$30) because I was able to use several things I had laying around. I'm not a hoarder, I just have allot of random useless things laying around the garage on the off chance that they may be needed someday. Oh wait, that sounds like the definition of a hoarder.

Well, anyway . . .
  • I started with an old 2-pole cloths rack that we hadn't used in years and pieces left over from an old press wood computer desk that had fallen apart. ( wouldn't necessarily say that constitutes hording)
  • I used U-bolts to fasten boards to the top and bottom of the rack
  • I notched 2 of the desk top pieces to hold the top or the rack up and I had to buy one piece of plywood for the center upright. I bought some small L-brackets to hold everything in place
  • I cut up a thin blanked that was used when Bestop shipped my rear bumper a few months ago (I'm not a hoarder) and using some spray glue, I glued them to the boards.
  • I had some old packing foam I had gotten at work (not a hoarder) to act as padding for the bottom.
  • I went to the store and bought some aluminum angles used for dry wall corners and cut them to go on 3 sides so I would have something to clip the windows onto.
  • The only thing I didn't plan on was the fact that because of the foam padding on the bottom of the rack, the rear doors kept wanting to fall out the back so I had to tie a cord across,. I'll have to come up with something more permanent.
  • I put the door surrounds and all my cleaning supplies on top.
Whatcha think???
