If you wanna tie them in to reverse lights and have separate dash switch for cargo/area lighting when not in reverse and key off, then do it thru 5 prong relay where pin 87a allows normal operation with reverse, and use pin 87 used when switched

BTW, you don't need all three terminals for only single beam backup/cargo lights.....here is great example that would serve well in your application:

Yup, those are PAR 36 style bulbs...You can get them in various voltages and wattages, with either screw , blade terminals, or both....Just google up "PAR 36 12v spade"
Dont sweat if the terminals on back of bulb dont match connector, just cut it off and crimp on either screw or spade terminals.

military lights ?
I have 2 4.5" military lights that are 28 volts with 3 prong. I need too know what 12 volt light bulb to replace them with? I would like to mount them on the rear of the rack and tie them into the reverse back up lights plus tie them into a seperate toggle switch. So that I can light up the rear area of the jeep.......any help would be appreciated......thanks
