JCS05Rubi the 6spd in the late TJs had a good bit of problems too, some not fixable. Not sure if the JK uses the same trans or not. I don't know if hes referring to that, or if he has just not been happy with TJ transmissions in general (cause I am in that boat Love both of my jeeps, hate the trannys).

Not to sure on the JK's but He may be confused with a tj?? The heater control like to melt in them and If you have the AX-15 tranny <--yj/tj specific ....the sincro's suck.

Transmission Trouble?

How cronic is Transmission trouble with the Jk's? I had a fella stop me in the parking lot of a local store, (he was driving an older Jeep Wrangler) and told me to watch out for "Tranny trouble" and "Heating knob breaking."

How real is the Tranny trouble factor in Jeeps?

(I figure that, with the new Drive Train Warrantee, I'm safe, regardless).

P.S.: By the way, on another completely unrelated topic, (in case any of you are old hippie's like me, and like to play the guitar), .....bought a new "fun" Jumbo yesterday: (Pics below)
