ArthurTJ04 Is PC74 the bulb for the dash I am looking for correct? I see that there is a high power instrument and a regular whats the difference? which one should I go with?
THanks

BaileysBudda Great write up. Did this with the Blue LEDs and love it!

Mlawrence No. I got one today from the dealer for $5. It's not one piece. The same bulb that fit my gauge panel also fits my sliding HVAC.

Got a picture? The HVAC bulbs are on a base with a Philips screw pattern. The bulb and base are one unit like the pic above. Is that what u mean?

celticsfan God damn it I'm an idiot, so I guess I have (5) of these if someone needs them, $10 shipped.

If you bought the ones in the link they're for the HVAC... the 74 is the bulb for the cluster

make sure to select the 4mm size. The regular neo4 is rated at 5 lumen and the hp neo4 is double that at 10 lumen.

I went an alternative route and go 24" of LED strips from autozone. BRIGHT. Wired them into existing floor lights and took out bulbs. They're like $30

Look for courtesy lights where u ordered your others from. Oh and make sure your jeep has them first. One under the glove box one under the steering wheel.

Mlawrence Ok so question. I was changing my HVAC and the little piece that hold the bulb is completely missing. Where can I get another one?!?!

Would you mind showing exactly how you got the cluster off? By the way, looks great and the aluminum overlay on top makes it pop even more.

Also what's that gauge for that you have on your dash? Normally when I see one of those I suspect a supercharger. Do you have a dirty little secret under that hood?

I did my 03's white. The needles were dull purple with the blue leds and hard to see. I took a picture of each needle position with the engine running. The needles come off pretty easy. A couple I pryed off with a fork. I scraped the white off the back with a razor (though I think paint thinner will also take the white off) Painted the back with a white paint pen and painted the center button where the orange continues black. I put the needles back on by the pictures with the engine on. The speedo I had to do while driving according to my GPS. Now they glow bright blue.

Haha I gotta say the LED's are really satisfying. This 2nd set spreads the light really well. They are awesome at night, with all my other blue led lighting and switches.

And did you miss one? It seems like the center bulb isn't on. Perhaps backwards (LED's are polar).

sjones26573 Some of my old LED's were flickering/burnt out, so I swapped in all new SuperbrightLEDs bulbs.

This is how bad the HVAC was without the LED strip I added later plugged in. 1 bulb still worked but was super dim. The cluster had 2 flickering bulbs.

The old 2 LED bulb on the right, new 1 LED bulb on the left.

All new bulbs and the strip plugged back in.

In. (Swapped one of the good old bulbs into the High Beam)

And here's what the inside of a cluster looks like plugged up.
