|1jeeplvr||Thanks for all the info everyone. If Im reading that correctly Jerry, the u joints are the same front & rear.Sooo Ill get 5-1310x joints for the front & replace my rear u joint with the new factory replacement that I have & keep the other one in the TJ in case I brake one on the trail.I figure put the stronger ones up front & keep the extra factory one for the rear since replacing a rear on the trail wouldent be bad.Now doing a front one would be a real PITA!|

TJs all use the same 5-297x with Rubicons coming with the newer stronger 5-760x axleshaft u-joint which is the same size. A good choice for replacements would be the Spicer 5-760x which is a stronger and more durable version of the
the 5-297x that the factory installs.
TJ drive shafts all use 1310 size u-joints, front and rear. The Rubicon uses slightly different size u-joints (1310/1330) and they vary a tad depending on which model year Rubicon.

|1jeeplvr||I ask because i am putting a locker in the front & I have 2 new standard strength u joints for the front. If they were the same I would save them & put one in the rear & save the other then buy 2 stronger ones for the front.|

|mrpowerz13||They're different, I just can't think of the part numbers. I'm sure someone will post the correct parts in several different vendors.|

U joints the same ,front & rear?
Are the front axle u joints the same as the rear driveshaft u joint?
