If I was in your shoes Id buy the D44 front from Chrysler a set of 4.10 gears from chrysler for the rear and an Ected electric locker for the rear....you can run em both with toggles.....1400 for the front assembly......200 for the gears and 600 for the locker..80 for the front ujoints...figure 500 for the rear locker/gear install and put the front assembly in yourself the hardest part is the U joints and even they are cake .....on jackstand with handtools and a freind helpin you could have the front in.. in 4-5 hours with smoke and beer breaks.....on the rack at work I could do it in about 90 minutes plus alignment
Lil less than 3 grand but not much but ya have the 44 front
on the flip side the air lovckers would allow you to have an onboard air supply(if ya dont get the ARB pump cause it doesnt have alot of oomph for tires)
but you would have a weaker 30 front...

The replacement Rubicon axles are Dana 44's with electric lockers. For the same $, wouldn't that be the way to go?
What would the old axles be worth?

Honestly for ARB's and re-gearing of the JK axles I'd say that quote is just about right. They are more of a beyotch to do since both the 30 and the 44 on the JK's are crush sleeve.
Honestly the JK D30's are stronger than the TJ D30's. If 35's are where you want to be I wouldn't worry about changing that 30 out. Maybe just putting some Alloy shafts in there and call it a day.

Regearing & Lockers with 35's
Just bought a JK-X with 35's.
Really needs regearing and I would like to add lockers.
Quotes I am getting from shops is about $3000+ to regear and add ARB air lockers.
I see I can get Rubicon replacement axles with 4.10 gears and lockers for about the same $.
What does anyone recommend?
What's the difference between the Dana 30 and Dana 44 anyway?
