|ct-tj||I say stick with the 3.73s, 4.56 and 32"s will make it great offroad, not so much on the highway. I have 4.10 with 33"s and gas prices are making me cry every time I take it on a long trip. Im turning 2300 rpm at 65 with the 4.10s.|

Yes, different gearing in front and rear axles will not work. If you make the swap you will have to regear the front axle. 4.56's are not a good idea if you drive the freeway at all. I have 4.88's with 36's and still have a shortage of top end speed. Also, vibes will increase if go to that gear. The 3.73's are ideal for your set up. However, if you want more power and a big change, go for it.
Also, on the interstate, you will feel like you are giving it all its got to run 70 and that will def hurt your gas mileage.

As far as not having the same gears in the front as the rear...DO NOT USE YOUR 4WD! Yes if will effect it if you use the 4wd....it will probally f___ your t'case real fast. if not the ring and pinions also.
You can drive it in 2wd until you do a front gear swap, it will not hurt it in 2wd.

need advise? buy or not?
I got a good chance of buying a rear d35 axel with 4.56 gearing, for a good price.. right now I have 32'' tires and 3.73 gearing..
is it worth the swap, will I feel that much of a difference.. I go a 4spd auto BTW. it does not bother me much 65mph at 1900, rpm.
I just think it a good price and would probably wont consider gearing anytime soon.. shoud I do it?
