lee indy Not sure. If they offer cooled seats I'd do that tonight

Weeman wow quick replies! I appreciate the help. I am convinced on 3.73 gears now, there is enough reason to buy them opposed to keeping the 3.21.

For the top, I will not likely have people in the rear seat to worry about heat. I intend on taking them out for more storage space lol. The dealer wants $1000 for the hardtop but i found out I'll have to pay more if I want both! I will stick with the soft top because that's what I love about jeeps! I'm not concerned about break-ins, they are not common around here and if thieves want in bad enough they will find a way.

Are you able to get heated cloth seats in a sport? That would be nice to have in Toronto for the winter months.

pfig88 If you're in a city environment where you find yourself parking frequently in open areas, the hardtop is much more secure than the soft top

fan of fanboys Yes to 3.73. For Canada I'd say yes to hardtop and get soft top market once needed.

Since your daily driver think what creature comforts you may want (heated seats, upgraded sound system, etc)

hannibal Hey Weeman. Last fall I bought what you're looking at getting pretty much. A 2012 Sport with the MT. Mine is lifted 2.5" and sits on 33". I have the soft top. Now the weather is much different here in Virginia then in Canada and being from MN I tend to not really get cold at all, but I have never had an issues with it being cold. The heater on the '12 model is stupid good. Anyone in the back seat might get cold, but where you'll be, I think you'll be fine. The hard top wouldn't be a bad option though for the snow you'll inevitably getting up there. I think that's your call though. I think I'll have to go back and see what gears I have (I know I should know this off hand) but with my lift and tires I'm still able to see 20 mpg or so.

coolbreeze If I was ordering, I'd buy a Rubicon with a hard top and automatic transmission. I wouldn't drive it in mud pits.

lee indy or do like i did and buy a hardtop then scrounge a softtop. i got my trektop nx for 350 out of the forsale section.

lee indy buy the 3.73s they are worth the money.

hardtop is a hit and miss. im from montana and if i lived there currently the hardtop is a no brainer. soft tops dont insulate anything in the winter and it takes forever to warm it up and at a point it gets to cold to drive it at all.

i would opt for the dual top system. and hang the hard in the garage all summer. its what i do.

I want to order a jeep, I could use some help from you

Hello everyone, I want to order a 2012 wrangler sport M/T w/ AC but I have a few questons. I have searched the forums and I find a lot of people regretting options they never purchased... soooo I want to ask these questions before I sign the dotted line!

I live in the Toronto suburbs where it's mostly city and sadly a lot of traffic. I have no intention of towing, lifting or installing tires larger than 32,33 as it will be a daily driver. Toronto has very flat terrain and my jeep would be a weekend warrior on camping, trails and mud pits... but no rock crawling or dare devil stuff!

Should I buy:
1. 3.73 gears
2. hardtop (dealer wants $1000 at the time of purchase and aftermarket are $1500+, is it worth it or will the soft top suffice)

Also add your suggestions to what I SHOULD buy. It would help a lot as I am a newbie when it comes to buying brand new.
