I used the Tekonsha Primus IQ on mine, it featured the Prodigy technology plus a boost setting, its small and can be unplugged and removed when not in use.
you will need to tap into the white wire with tan stripe under the dash
at the brake light switch

|Silverton34||I use the tekonsha Prodigy which is one of the better ones on the market. I have it in my Silverado and used to tow the Jeep on a trailer. These newer electronic controllers are much better than the old style a few years ago.|

electric brake controller installation
Looking to install an electric trailer brake controller in my 2012 jku. Anyone have information on a good inexpensive controller? Installation instructions including how to wire in round connector with all applicable wires? I would like to wire my jeep to a popup tent trailer with a round plug having electric trailer brake. Thanks
