Died on the highway

Hi everyone,

I was driving on the highway today and my 1995 Jeep Wrangler just died. We pulled over to the side of the road and I found a blown fuse. It was the large 30amp next to the battery. The fuse run the fuel system. I replaced the fuse and the second one blow right away. I removed the fuel pump relay and installed a third fuse we tried to start the vehicle but still would not start. Put the old relay back in and the third fused blew right away. After waiting an 1 1/2 hours for a tow truck, we got home safe. Is this a sign the fuel pump went out or is it something eles?

Thanks,
95 Wrangler Sahara
