That's what my front axle u joints did back in June... I hate replacing them darn things. Especially in the front driveshaft.

Scouts are awesome. I love those things.

I carry a spare u joint but it's mostly for anyone who needs it. I check them the day before I go wheeling. If it breaks on the trail 99% of the time it's taking the shaft out with it lol.

He's running ton axles with 39" tires and the You-tube videos they've posted have been pretty impressive rock crawling in West Virginia. I don't have any desire to go that big. I'll be satisfied with lockers, 35" mud tires, better gearing, and debating the transfer case Teralow conversion or the Rubicrawler doubler.
Oh wow! That sounds really cool. No desire to go that big on this one either. I still want to be able to drive it to work occasionally. Maybe a future one I'll go nuts on lol

There are a lot of good write ups here and couple other places on web that make it fairly straight forward. I'll post some pics once it's complete. Here are a couple of front end progress shots

Haha chocolate milk is what I wake up to every morning. I'm hypoglycemic so need that quick hit first thing or I get cranky.
