pasteris71 Torque converter or flywheel? Both may make the sounds and do what you explain.

Weird sound, and other jazz.

So i let my jeep idle for a bit then when i go to step on the gas it makes a loud rattling winding sound, at the same time it feels like it goes into neutral ( auto trans) and doesn't have any power i have to pull over and shut the jeep off and turn it back on and its fine? also I'm on my second u-joint and i have no idea how its broken already. so if anyone has any answers or something to help me out it would be very helpful. but in the mean time I'm saving up for a 5spd swap with rock crawling tans.
