Dropping the pan replaces some of it, the rest is in the torque converter. Fully replacing all the fluid requires a flush.

Here's a write-up I did. I own a 2001 so my auto tranny is a different model. But, most of it is the same.

Dusty Rhodes ATF+4 is the correct type. Cant tell you how hard it is. I need to do it too.

How hard is it to change transmission fluid and what's the right stuff for it? I have a 2006 jeep wrangler x 6 straight 4.0 auto
