|4bangertj||im not really sure what type of shafts are in it. it is a complete axle from hub to hub, so i'll take your advice blkjp, just change everything over just to be on the safe side, thanks alot!|

Yes everything should fit in your current axle, however not all 35's are create equal. All TJ 35's are c-clip axles. There were some early years in the YJ's where they were not C-Clip. You'll be able to tell when you take it all apart.
I also would remove "everything" from one to the other. Including the pinion. If you are going to use the gears in the YJ axle on yours then take the ring and pinion not just the ring gear and locker and set them up in your axle with your pinion gear already installed. It will never setup good and will make noise.

i recently bought a used axel off a guy thats on the fire dept with me. he said that it is a dana 35 4:10 ratio and has a detroit locker in it. i havent take the cover off to varify yet but i take his word on it. my question is, is he couldnt remember off the top of his head what year wrangler it came out of. looking at it it looks like its meant to be on a yj? it has leaf spring mounts rather than coil spring mounts. regardless of the year a dana 35 is a dana 35 right? im wondering if i am goin to run into any problems if i swaps the guts outa the extra axle to the stock axle i am currently running. the gearing is said to be the same. any thoughts?
