Seasonal Tires / Wheels

Anyone running different tires/wheels during the winter time? I plan on purchasing 285/65/18 nitto trail grapplers and 18x9 wheels. Not sure if it makes sense to run these all year, or switch them out with my stock wheels/rims before winter hits. I'm concerned about the amount of snow / salt on the ground in Chicago, and I don't want to ruin the new wheels.
