The combo kit is three pieces with the associated gaps that would come with such a configuration.

|Muddeprived||Got a question: Is there a reasonable amount of room to slide the seat back or will I be driving like grandma?|

|Skold||I had a Bestop half top and it is top notch if that is the config you want.|

|Neto_09||Hi, I know this post is from last year so I hope someone still answer lol. did you remove the padding from the center roll bar?? I just wondering 'cause i flip my pods to the inside of the cab. And what about the padding from the upper side bars (door bars). Thank you|

|david95xj||Do you have any pictures of how the top attaches to the windshield?|

Gr8tops is the only company I know of that makes hard half cabs for our jeeps, They've got a website you can order from.
I wanted one but I don't have that kind of money!

How did you remove cover and foam from fore and aft roll bar over doors? Mine does not have zipper like the other roll bars. How difficult was it to remove the rear seat belts from aft roll bar? No need to leave them in place exposed to the elements with rear cover in place.
Unfortunately, I could not move speaker/interior light bar forward to be within half top due to it hitting my head while seated. Any pictures ideas on how to resolve this dilema would be appreciated. Ideally, would like to somehow modify the bar to have full use of the speakers and interior light while protecting it from elements.
Thanks for your help. Installation of half top is stalled until I can figure this out.

The only mods you have to do to make it fit is take all the foam under the roll bar covers off
And post some pics of yours when you get it!!

The duster is sewed to the back of the cab so you can't take it off but you can always roll it up if you need to haul somethin that's talley than the rails of the tub
It connects to the floor with a mesh screen that keeps stuff in the bed from comin into the cab, the mesh screen connects to a "z channel" that you screw to the floor
If ya need anymore pics just ask

|BNotrab||That's Awesome! Good idea too. Could you take a few pictures of the inside of the half top, and how it connects to the duster and behind the seats? That would be awesome! I'm about ready to pull the trigger on this now that i've seen it done.|

I don't think bestop will ever make one for the 03-06 cause it's such a low selling top it probably wouldn't be worth their investment.
I've seen some people flip their pods, but I mounted mine on the floor under the seats where the rear seat passengers feet used to go. I like em there, they're outta the way and they sound better there, I fell the bass in my butt now lol

|BNotrab||That's awesome! I'm so glad someone did this on an 03-06 style jeep. I've been wanting Bestop to come out with one for my 06 for years! Another question, What did you do with your speaker pods? Just flip them around to the inside?|

The top is just as weather tight as my factory soft top
Yesterday I had a storm roll through with 60mph wind gusts and some rain and I stayed nice and dry.
The only place I think it would ever leak would be the roll bar collars in the back, but only if it was really raining hard and even then I don't think it'd leak much.

|BNotrab||How weather resistant is this set up? I've been looking at the half top for years but could never find one that looked completely sealed for my 06. Looks great btw!|

My roll bar is body matched from 2000 except the spreaders from a to b pillar. Are black.
The half top is sexy!

|blue6tj||Mine's just fine. It's just a pain in the ass to get the header to stay in place while I get the back strap on. But other than that it's great. I usually keep the top and dust cover on and the cab curtain usually sits in the garage...|

|blue6tj||I have the same set up on my 06 Unlimited and its great!|
|06-29-2012 01:25 PM|
|JDT||I didn't know if they'd be body color or black when I took em off, but I like how they look. And thanks for the compliments!|

|98straight stainless||Mine in my 98 are black and so are my buddies in his 05, I didn't know they came like that it really looks good without padding.|
|06-29-2012 01:01 PM|
|JDT||They're painted stock, it's all just underneath the padding.|
|06-29-2012 12:58 PM|
|98straight stainless||Looks good nice roll bars did they come like that stock?|

I just finished installing a bestop halftop on my 2005 wrangler. These tops are listed for 97-02 TJ's only but that's only because of the roll bar padding being thicker on the 03 and up TJ's all you gotta do is pull the padding off and if fits!! I think he reason bestop won't list it for 03's and up is because it's more dangerous and probably lawsuit prone without the padding. But anyways I'm really happy with this top and I love the pick-up look it gives my Jeep!
