|jtraider||where is this resistor you speak of?|

|bwpilot20||Before you buy a resistor pull the control panel out and look for burned or melted areas on the fan speed switch. If it is melted then the only fix is to relay the fan speed switch or else it'll keep melting them away. Also check for melted wires at the resistor plug. I lost speed three and my switch had been fried. Speed four bypasses the resistor and so you most likely have a burned switch.|

|Powder Monkey||My guess is the fan speed switch. If I recall correctly only the highest setting works if the resistor is dead.|

|dmiller369||thats what i thought, but i was thinking that resistors work on high only when they go out|

|dusman||my guess would be resistor, just fixed mine a few weeks ago with the same symptoms|

|gixxerphil||I'd bet it's your blower resistor motor|

another a/c problem
ok so the air went out on my jeep again.
the hot and cold air work but only on the lowest fan speed setting.
the vacuum switch to change what vents works.
the hot/cold switch works as well.
b/c the fan does turn on on the lowest setting it cant be the fan.
b/c the vacuum switch works its not the blend door.
so it either has to be the resistor or the fan speed switch correct?
any further checks i can do too save money between the resistor and the switch. ( i have changed both of them before b/c of a previous a/c problem)
also my aluminum line underneath my hood that runs by the battery is ice cold. is that correct?
