Wattapunk You may do some research on the tow hitch, some rugged ridge tow hitches are specifically made for only the rugged ridge rear bumpers. That may explain the bumper cut out in the instructions.

SecretAgentMan I have a Hidden Hitch on a 2004, so mine may be slightly different. You should not have to remove the bumper. Try to dry fit the hitch to see if positions and lines up with mounting holes OK. Don't be surprised if you need to elongate a mounting hole or two to get them to line up.

I don't think there is a torque spec, but get them tight and double check them a few weeks after installation.

installing a tow hitch

I just bought a rugged ridge tow hitch for my 2005 Jeep Wrangler. The instructions say i need to find the hitch cut out on the bumper, but mine does not have one. So...do I need to remove the bumper to install the hitch? Or is this the wrong model? Also, what do I torque the bolts to when I tighten them?

Any advice here would be great! thanks.
