I would ask them to update the radio for you since you're spending the money on the Uconnect kit. The radio is updated with a CD, so that can be done during the installation.
You'll also want the "optional" iPod/USB cable (pn 82212160)even if you don't plan on using an iPod. The reason is because any future Uconnect updates are done thru a flash drive and the USB connector.
Wind noise may be a factor at higher speeds. You may need to project your voice a little more.

|moeboss||Thanks! I have the RES. Dealer recommended RES Kit 82212159. Will the dealer update SW for me when installing kit? And one more Jeep newbie question…I just want to make sure I'm not crazy installing the BT Wifi since I drive as much as possible with the top down and there is a ton of wind noise!?|

This would depend on the radio that you have. If it's the RES, REQ, REN, RHB, then you would need to do 2 things for this to work.
1) get your radio SW updated.
2) purchhase a 2011 - 2012 Uconnect module.
Streaming audio wasn't supported until 2011. The module would be a direct plug N play swap.

uconnect for 2010 wrangler
Will uconnect Bluetooth work with my Droid bionic? I want to stream Pandora, my stored music, etc.. through radio speakers, not just phone calls. Can I do this without getting the web hotspot kit? Thanks!
