replacing battery cables, question!

my positive cable is pretty bad, to the point where the jeep wouldn't start a few times til I twisted it back and forth at the terminal!! the good news is that I changed that one out.. I figured that I may as well replace the neg cable while I'm at it! the ground on the engine block just spins at the nut!!! has anyone else experienced this? what are my options? is there another engine block ground location? thanks
