AzTJ A knocking noise from hard acceleration is usually signs of a loose chain.

nicolas-eric when i start on a traffic light with full throttle i also have the "knock knock". but for me it is ok, the shifter works good, it stays in 4L.

Noise coming form transfer case?

i just installed my 1" body lift, i had to remove all the mud from around the shift linkage to install the lowering bracket, now that stupid knock, rattle, banging noise is back. it did it before, but it stoped. i would go mudding again, but i just washed my jeep, and would like to fix it?
