|TopDwnWhlsUp||I don't think timberwolf was stating that the tire size on the highway was the issue, it's the fact that the rear diff is spooled, basically it's an automatic locker or locked all the time, in the front it is an arb, or selectable locker, you could choose when you want to engage it. This setup would be awesome on the trail, not so much on the road as being locked makes taking corners somewhat of an issue, especially on tires that big since the tires ar both turning at the same rate of speed all the time. You could always replace that automatic locker with a selectable if you wanted to ie arb the back. Hope this helped.|

Maybe I posted this in the wrong section, or used the wrong terminology. I'm obviously a newb for asking such a question, but how am I going to learn?

Question about a Jeeps gearing
I'm looking at a Jeep on CL & wanted to know if this Jeep would be Ok on the highways with the gearing they've put in. It wouldn't be a highway daily driver, just occasionaly.
1994 Jeep Wrangler YJ
Engine: Fuel Injected 4.0 Straight Six Cylinder
Transmission: 4 speed automatic transmission with electronic shift control to keep in any gear
Rear Axle: Dana 44 with 4:56 gears and spool with alloy axles
Front Axle: Dana 44 with 4:56 gears and ARB air locker
Tires: 37"-13.50"-15" Pitbull Rockers
