bbtj The manual is right. Just barely moving, somewhere around 3-4 mph seems to work best on my jeep.

4 wheel Drive questions

Ok here's my first stupid question to the knowledgeable jeep guys. I recently bought a 2012 jeep unlimited sahara and fell in love with it. In the manual it says in order to put in 4 low, you must be rolling put jeep in neutral then put in 4 low and then back in gear before it stops rolling. Does this sound right cause I have no idea, but sounds odd to me.
Second question. I loved my new jeep so much i went and bought a 99 to build up and start driving trails. How does the 4x4 work on the 99 as far as putting in in 4x4. I know this is a question that you guys are saying for real this guy don't know this, but hey I'd rather ask than tear something up. Thanks for all the help.
