div4gold I love those old high hoods. I wonder how much trouble it would be to mount a CJ3a/b tub on a TJ chassis?

lynn An ideal build, IMHO, would be about a 2.5" lift, a D30 front axle swap, dual-chamber master cylinder, swinging pedals, 11" drilled drum brakes (or front disc/rear 11" drum) Saginaw steering swap, a flanged D44 rear swap, a T18 or SM420 tranny, a 225 or 231 Buick V6, big-hole D18, maybe a set of teraLow tcase gears for the D18, depending on the ratio in the swapped axles, and set of pizza cutters.

A moderate build resulting in a very capable rig.

You might find more ideas at earlycj5.net. Lots of flatties and build experience over there.
