Wranglerguy48 There are very few of the trails in sweet water that are legal, according to info given to me by the jeep store down the road. They said there are signs but they are hard see for one reason or another. They claim the fine is somewhere in the amount of thousands if caught.

Mikega8 Sweetwater State Park is in Douglas County, There is a Civil War era mill there. The trails in the thread are up in Cherokee Co. I have never been up there, but then, I am a Newbie. I haven't been to many places at all. It looks like a lot of fun. Maybe I can make it up there soon.

Mikega8 I have been there many times. There are not any riding trails, They are all hiking. The Mill is about a half a mile easy hike. There are several others that follow the creek to some small falls and lakes. It is a beautiful place with alot of history, Civil War and Indian. I have never had much luck fishing the lake and some in the creek.

They also have a state of art visitors center with several exhibits explaining the history of the park.

Sweetwater details?

Hey yall,

I was planning on heading up to the Lower Sweetwater Trail this Saturday, but I can't seem to find any exact directions to the legal riding road. Can anyone provide directions starting from a major highway?

Also, I can't decide between going hiking, or taking my pole for a little fishing. But i do want to check out the old textile mill ruins... Any recommendations here?

Thanks,
-Wayyside
