TJMichael B. if you are planning on lockers, upgraded axles, etc., might as well invest the money in a later-model Rubicon, and get the 4.0 to boot, like you said.

What to do?

I have a 97 2.5. 2" suspension lift, stock 5 speed,4x4,stock axles, winch, swing away tire carrier, rock sliders. It runs great.
Just did some serious off roading in Pogheepsie gulch, and other places in Colorado.
I'm thinking of either A) putting new axles and lockers, maybe another lift or
B) Buying a newer Rubi with much of this done, adding the winch, guards and swing away and getting a 4.0 besides.

Any thoughts?
