mac56 Only if the casing is cracked or corroded... when it won't start can you jump it and make it start ? Maybe try changing the starter relay... cheap guess, about $14.00 at autozone... after that don't know. Did it only stall the one time and not since ? Sounds like a Jerry Bransford question over in the TJ forum...

I have checked everything and have cleaned my battery cables as well as others. Do you think it could be my ground cable?

New tires!!! Now my jeep quits on me...help!!!

I just bought some killer tires for my baby. The next day she won't start. I find out the starter was going bad. So, I buy a new starter and install myself. She starts up perfectly. Two days later she dies on me at a four way stop sign. So, I have a mechanic drive by and checks my starter, and battery and tells me they are both working fine. What could it be fellow jeepers??? She starts today no problem. Could it be the wire from the starter to the battery going bad?
