New York Meeting

(From Adirondack Jeeps)

TO ALL....

New SCORP (Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan)

New York State Parks :: Public Meeting Notices

A public meeting is being held, And our very own ADK-TJ will be our spokesman for OHV ( Off-highway vehicle ) users everywhere. It is our hope that we all start to make an effort to attend these things in force, and let our opinions be known. I would also like to start attending in numbers..Since it seems this is mostly what they care about... This is our/my kick off to begin to try and make a difference, and the start for me personally to say, I refuse to sit idle, while the state continues to close roads, buy property and make it limited access, or not recognize our sport as a valid. We deserve some space too...

This is not just our club... But all clubs or individuals who drive a OHV in NYS, or even individuals.
We need to try to band together...We need numbers..Big ones...

Put aside our differences and come together...I donít care what association you are with, wether you are hardcore or stock, or even if you donít drive a OHV, but care. .. We need to try... Iím tired of not Tring , or waiting while we lose everything.

Here Is the details. I am having button made to identify to all, who we are, and what we stand for. Everyone who shows up will receive one. They will be green, and read

USE
RESPECT
PROTECT
_________
OHV USER

Our club thread discussion can be located here for reference...

Adirondack Jeeps :: View topic - New SCORP- PLEASE ATTEND!

And here are the details of the meeting...When getting there, we will gather outside prior to the meeting, to disburse the buttons... I have no idea what to expect, as I have never been to one of these...

Who: New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation
What: Public Hearing on the 2009-2014 Draft Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan
When: Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m.
Where: Peebles Island Resource Center, Peebles Island State Park
Waterford, New York

I hope to see some people there... Our club has shown only 8 attending so far... We need as many as we can get.

Thank you in advance
