Jma20a im not a big fan of the powered subs out, i say save some money and do it right, find what you like and then go to ebay to see what prices they have. i have saved a good deal of money by going through ebay.

bardenk1 i would see what the rms is on the subs. they could say 1000 watt subs but the rms could only be 250 the rms is the continous amount of power your subs can handle. i would look on WoofersEtc.com - The Online Car Audio Super Store, The largest selection at the lowest prices! and check out their audiobahn subs and amps. they have there 400 watt rms excursions for like 60 bucks and an 800 watt amp for 180 which might sound like a lot but i am telling you look at those same subs and amp at crutchfeild and you'll see how big a differnce. also youll need a box. check out ebays truck boxs make sure it will fit in the back or they have one for jeep wranglers its a downfire box and its like 110. and lastly you will need to wire it which is like 30 or 40 bucks at walmart

Subwoofer questions!

I was just looking in my sunday paper and saw an ad in Circuit City the Kicker 10" Comp Subwoofer, it is buy one get one free at $89.99. now i know that obviously these arent the best subs to get, but my price range is incredibly low being a student. i just upgraded the front two speakers to some infinity kappas and wanted some bass. What would you reccommend? or do you know of any in a similar price range that you prefer?
