Coolant on oil pan/NOT WEEP HOLE

Guys, a few days ago I noticed coolant dripping from the oil pan running up and behind the crank. The easy assumption is would be that it was the water pump. So I ordered an OEM replacement and while I wait for shipping I got ahead start taking the old one out. When I cleared out the radiator and fan, I noticed the weep hole did not appear to be leaking! I mean no new fluid around it. My instinct still screams water pump but I am very curious if anyone has experienced this before or has any insight. I checked all the hoses and what not for leaks and could not find one. Thanks in advance.
