jcbrindle I haven't accurately measured the entire package yet but the engine and tranny combo has been done several times so fitment wasn't my biggest concern. The transfer case has me a little worried but I still have time to figure everything out.

4Jeepn Not sure on how far back the pictured setup will placed everything, but just looking at the t-case the rear cone seem like it would make for a very very short rear drive shaft..241 might be a better option as stated...

NP261 Transfer Case

I have purchased my new jeep drive train but it includes a NP261 transfer case. I now realize there is no aftermarket support of the 261 and no SYE. Has anyone ever used one in a conversion?

I think I'm going to swap it out with a NP241, it would be much cheaper than adapting the tranny to use my NP231

Any opinions or suggestions would be great,

Thanks
