oahu jeeper I had a soft clutch problem too. Turned out it needed to be replaced. When I pulled the tranny the friction plate was "ok" but the pressure plate was junk. Good luck with the repair, it's doable but I highly recommend begging, borrowing or stealing a transmission jack it will make the job a whole lot less miserable.

trail-n YJ Well figured it out my transmission was be hel on by three loose bolts others are not there!!!!

Clutch!!!!

I had driving my jeep around and clutch was softer than normal. When I started heading back stopped at a light and the engine had died! Started her Agian and then depressed the clutch and then She died once Agian! Any ideas?
