Pa State game lands "open House" Berks County
Every Year the Pa Game commission opens some game land roads for one day to the public.
This year the commission will offer the 9 mile tour Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at State Game Land 110, which covers nearly 10,150 acres of scenic and recreational land in the two counties.
The trip begins at the commission's parking lot off Mountain Road midway between the Shartlesville Exit on Interstate 78 and Route 61, and will continue on Route 183 north of Strausstown.
To get to the start of the tour, take Route 61 north beyond Interstate 78 near Hamburg. Turn left onto Lowland Road, just past Tilden Ridge Drive, and then turn right onto Mountain Road. Turn right onto the state game land road.
