|scrambler1||thanks, scrambler build put on hold until after x-mas. Need to finish up repairing floor and durabak coating my YJ. Have made a little progress on the scrambler though. Have the donor truck that the motor and wiring harness is coming out of to go in my scrambler ready.(1987 suburban) crate motor less than 30,000 miles on it. used it this summer to pull trees down. plan on using 350 TBI,700r4, dana 300. have 9" ford rear already in the scrambler. Just need to find the time to do everything. Will post pics once I get going full boar this winter. My goal is to have it ready for next falls jamboree in maine. Never have been.|

I've heard they're great. But, also look around online or call 411 for Jeep Panels Plus...I believe they're in Maine and they might do cj8's. goodluck

junk yards usually don't have anything older than 6-10 yrs these days. and cj parts are non existent in bone yards. it tough, aftermarket panels can be junk, if you get aftermarket, they come primed, they say. scuff them up and prime them again, and then paint. i've seen new panels that rusted in a year or two.
i love cj's, put up some pics, and good luck.

starting to rebuild my 82' cj8
has anyone used the aftermarket complete side panels? tub is in decent shape. the side panels have some lousy body work done to it from previous owner. this seems like the best way to get rid of it. any input would be appreciated about best pricing,or who have you had good luck with getting these panels. Thanks.
once I get full blown starting this project I will post some pics.
