Transmission/Drivetrain Knock When Cold

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I have an 07 JK 6 spd manual. with the change in weather I have noticed a rather loud knock/tick when I am accelerating. It doesn't happen when I idle so i know its not the engine. It seems to only happen when its cold outside. It happens after it has been sitting in the cold for a few hours then once I drive for 10-15 minutes it goes away. the best way I can describe the noise is a loud metallic version of a baseball card in the spokes of a bicycle. If it is warm outside I have 0 issues. Hopefully someone else has seen/heard of this and can help me out. thanks in advance!
