ltdanyj So, who is local up there that would like to host a few people on Trails Road and surrounding stuff? I'd love to get up there and check it out...

eTom It's amazing to read all the interesting articles and watch the nice videos and pictures. I like it because it gives me inspiration for our next roundtrips through the USA.

XJ Knight Whispering Pines is open on the weekends with the exception of I think Nov. Just need to call a few days ahead of time to let them know your coming.. Safe bet with WP is go with 2 other people.. more then once have I heard of one guy getting stuck then the person they have wheeling with them getting stuck also.

Look into FingerLakes4x4 based out of Rochester.. They do alot of work with maintaining WP and typically a group goes there 8-10 times a year along with this big 101 event they hold.. They also have a group of people who have money tree's and go to PA once a month or so it seems.. So if you got one of them money tree's you could always hit up PA with them.

www.whisperingpineshideaway.com and haven't been to this place but it's their Welcome to Facebook - Log In, Sign Up or Learn More (Wrangler Ave, Savona NY).. There are also events and gatherings and what not at property owned by area clubs or given permision to use for wheeling that I can attend if I want to.

Seasonal roads as well in the winter.

If you haven't yet get involved with http://www.cnyjeep.org/phpbb3/ as they are your local Jeep Club and will know best what is around you and whats going on in general.

I'm thinking that google map location must be incorrect?
There are two entrances its a public access road so no one can really tell you to go. One has sings the other doesnt.
