ccain More than likely it's the heater control valve (if your Jeep still has one). They are usually vacuum controlled and, you know as well as I do, YJ's are notorious for vacuum problems. The extreme hot and cold makes the plastic vacuum lines brittle and they break real easy. And sometimes the diaphragm inside the HCV goes bad.

You may also want to check your thermostat.

tn-yj I would have to lean towards the heater core. Do you flush your radiator regularly? Im not well versed in this but that would be my bet

Broken Heater?

My 1994 Wrangler just started to blow cool/cold air out of the vents this morning. I had the heater on and she was fully warm when I switched it on. Could this be that the heater core just needs to be cleaned or could it be something more serious?
