fenderwell storage space

Ok so I know I have seen it somewere but just can't find it again but, I have seen some were were some one cut an opening in their tub in the rear trunk area on the passenger side to make an opening in the space in front of the tail lamps and then installed a piece of metal to make a little storage area. I was wondering if anyone else has seen or done this and could possibly point me n the direction of a write up.
