|appleman46||Awesome build(s) man! Thinking about the sPOD myself, do you have to use the switches they provide? Would I be able to use my own switches, say, on the a-pillar?|

the badlands is great, has everything from sand, rocks, steep climbs, water crossings, easy trails, harder trails.
i personally am super bored of it though, since ive gone there a number of times. now i just go when there is an event to catch up with friends.

50" black box does great, just make sure to fill out the warranty card on it, and if your side mounting bolts dont come black, paint them before the install. cause they WILL rust, and fast. i have friends with all the different 50" bars, so im gonna be doing tests with all of them showing the output of each and quality. and not locked yet. i use my ebrake as my locker. haha.
some vids of moab trip. still have to do all the other trails, but heres what i got so far.

|MudRunner||Great pics. Looks like you had a blast and the roll cage is sweet. Just curious, you locked yet? Or are you waiting for the larger axles?|

|123Jato||How do you like your 50" black box light bar? Mine gets in Monday and I was curious about how good it is.|

so quite a bit has happened since my last update.
as far as jeep updates:
finished putting the gussets on the roll cage. and am now in the works on the front portion of cage and racing seats and harness bars. I also picked up a 79 D60 kingpin front axle and a 14B rear axle. but wont be building those for a while since i dont have the coin to put into new wheels and all the brackets, driveshafts, all that jazz. the 14B already has new calipers on it, which saves me from doing the swap. I'll also be relocating to Denver area this year.
now, for the good stuff.
hit up moab last month. Towed her out there behind the raptor (which i sold few weeks ago). Used a buddies BIG ass trailer. towed beautifully with that long of a trailer with little weight on the raptor, but dam was it heavy. met up with some crazy canadians out there eh.
pics or it didnt happen, well, okay, because you asked.
had 2 almost roll overs (Jay...) no damage or brakes (pardon my pun, because we had to replace an entire brake caliper, pads and rotor on one jeep). Cant wait to be back out there again soon. was absolutely the greatest trip of my life.
|08-11-2013 12:25 PM|
some updates on the custom cage build. still need to add some tubing gussets (need to get new notcher) and then burn those in. then work on A pillar, windshield bar, and 2 harness bars (once my die comes in). wont have the die before moab this weekend though. and im considering using a roll on bedliner for roll cage. cause i dont want to have to touch up the cage in the future. head clearance is good with straight bars. soft top works. will be getting some wake board speaker pods for the rear. some shots.

|Jared66||Nice build. I love all your detail. Takes the most time and effort. But is the biggest factor.|
|07-27-2013 01:35 AM|
|fastNugly||Damn man! What a build. Spent 30 mins reading and skimming through all pages|
|07-27-2013 12:51 AM|

|tupper||Great job on the build! Though you've given me waaaaaaaaay too many ideas! Love the look, love the fact you do the work!|
|07-26-2013 09:01 AM|
|LameStory||I'm not gonna come out and say it officially 'cause there's just too many to choose from, but that just might be the coolest Jeep I've ever seen! Looking for you on YouTube now...|
|07-26-2013 08:36 AM|
Why you gotta jump to conclusions? Maybe he paid for all of it, maybe his folks did. If they did you don't have to lay into him for it. Does it really matter that much?
That thing is a beast man. I hope I get get somewhere near that some day
|07-26-2013 08:36 AM|
Un freakin believable. How about minding our own business. If y'all have nothing to add DON'T POST.
Back on topic PLEASE. Awesome jeep dude.
|07-14-2013 10:47 AM|
my "folks" dont pay for my mods, as much as id love my dad to, he doesnt have the money to spend on me. ive paid my way for 3 years now. and i dont want to stay here for longer than i have to.
and yea 60s should be awesome, once i get them, ill have to throw in about 2-3 grand to each axle before i consider them worthy for driving..oh and shes a daily driver..MPG...bye byee
|07-13-2013 01:58 AM|
Sick jk ludski, can't wait to see those d60s go in (when you find them). Should be one mean trail rig.

so i dont forum much anymore but giving my threads a quick update.
will be doing some tire upgrades soon, so have been looking around at 60s again. have checked out 5 different sets of axles, none of which were to my standards. youd be surprised how many guys will lie out there and say a D50 is a 60. plan to run with a 60 up front (king pin prefer, unit allowed). and a 14b rear.
50" hybrid black box logistics light bar.
drove to colorado to pick up sisters car, found a job out there and one in arizona. but gonna finish my 2 year degree here before i jump out there.
heading out to MOAB next month. so did some maintenance. flushed all fluids. transfercase. transmission. engine oil. differentials. cleaned intake. running much smoother now.
flooded in town so went and played in some flooded streets and pulled out some cars that tried to make it.
also rewired all the electronics to make it easier for when i switch to an Spod
also have been working on others jeeps more than my own. built up a couple rigs. silver has some poison spyder products in bound. and white has many more parts inbound.
|05-30-2013 04:50 PM|
made some paracord lanyards for some friends.
took out the 3rd row.
new spiderwebshade trail mesh cargo shade (why i took out 3rd row) and also new bushwacker flares from newest sponsor; bushwacker.
also hit 1,000,000 youtube views and 1400+ subscribers! which is pretty awesome!

|04-30-2013 08:46 PM|
Went to jeep beach met a bunch of fans of the Jeep. and talked with vendors, had a great time. Drove to Atlanta on the way and met up with Kevin and Reptar. Drove 18.5 hours straight home.
Got my new Poison Spyder BFH Comp Stinger put on today. and gave it a little black widow look to it.
